Introduction

Pozi is a browser-based geographic information system (GIS) that helps you explore, query, and visualise your organisation’s spatial data.

Accessing Pozi

Your organisation’s Pozi site is hosted at one or more URLs.

  • Public: eg https://council.pozi.com/
  • Enterprise: eg: https://council.enterprise.pozi.com/

The public access point is available to all users. The enterprise access point is restricted to authorised staff and will prompt users to sign in with their organisation’s Microsoft account.

Bookmark your Pozi URL in your browser for quick access.

On mobile devices, Pozi is available to install as a Progressive Web App (PWA), which will show up in your browser’s home screen alongside your favourite apps.

Workflow

When Pozi opens it displays a map, typically showing a basemap and the boundary or area of interest for your organisation.

To enquire on a location, click on the map or use the search tool. Results for that location appear in the What’s Here section of the Info Panel that appears to the left of the map. To view more information about a feature, click its title within the What’s Here list.

To view facilities, services, assets, and other thematic data, tick on the relevant map layers from the Layers tab. Ticking on a layer also reveals its legend and options menu for advanced functionality.

Concepts

The following terms describe the key concepts of the Pozi app:

  • Layer / Dataset: a collection of related features grouped by theme, for example a drainage pipes layer
  • Feature: a point, line, or polygon displayed on the map that represents an item from a layer
  • Location: a point on the map you have clicked or searched for
  • What’s Here: a list of features from a configured set of layers that exist at a specified location
  • Target: a temporary map marker that denotes the location you have clicked or searched for
  • Basemap: a background map layer that provides background context for other layers
  • Imagery: a map layer consisting of aerial or satellite imagery

Support

This User Guide is designed to help you get started with Pozi. Explore the topics listed in the left menu, or use the search box at the top right to find what you’re looking for. In the search results, pick any matching topics from the User Guide section, not the Admin Guide.

For further help, contact your organisation’s administrator.
